No More Pain

YAAAAAY IT’S DONE <3 this is a little gift I did for who has an unbelievably beautiful shinlai character! <333 Aria is so pretty in appearance, and she has a very beautiful personality too. Her story is sad, but that’s kinda what drew me to her and made me wanna draw her <3 I’m a sucker for sad love stories.

I did this partially in PSE 8 and Gimp XD mostly in photoshop, though... it was fun!!! Took about 3 days (with me working on it for about 4 hours each day... so about 12 hours <3)

I did the background first, which is unusual for me <3 the background was amazingly fun and pretty easy XD fun and easy are my two favorite things, besides eating and sleeping! lol <3 at first I wasn’t going to add the fireflies (you can tell that those are fireflies, right?), but I started listening to Owl City and couldn’t resist XD This picture was drawn while I listened to Vanilla Twilight and Fireflies over and over.... that’s kinda why it turned out all dreamy and glowy like that XD lol I thought that I was going to be awful at drawing Aria, since I’ve never drawn a shinlai digitally before :/ at first she looked a little wonky, but by the end I was satisfied with how she’d turned out.

NOTE TO SELF (lol, almost put “elf” instead of “self” ): LEARN HOW TO DO PROPER SHINLAI PAWS D: I had the most trouble with the feet.... which is why they’re mostly hidden by grass XD lol

HER HAIR WAS SO MUCH FUN <3 especially her little braid! I never get to do braids, but I love them <3 and i love her tail... I kinda left out her other horn, but LET’S JUST PRETEND THAT’S HIDDEN KAY? I also made her mask a slightly lighter shade of creamy off-white... cuz it blended in with her fur too much :/ sorry for taking an artistic liberty and changing a couple of the colors! Hope I didn’t mess up on her too much D: that would be awful

I might draw Aria’s mate next <3 he has antlers. I’m awful at antlers. A CHALLENGE!!!! HUZZAH <3 hope you like it, *OddOsprey! Your character is so pretty I’ve been doodling her all week <3 lol
